To Understand the Wealth of Dubai

Swanky Ferraris, theme parks with its European ambience and self importance plates may look to depict the glory of emirates expenditure but amazing and astounding it is could be capitalised only when you land within the periphery of Dubai.

Sky scrapers like Burj Khalifa unveils the height of the sky giving you a feeling like you have almost landed in New York City. As I was finding hard times to insert my SIM card her statement reminded me like Dubai obviously one of the most dazzling countries of the world.
Then I wonder is it all about Dubai and to answer my question I decided to spend next 10 days to discover the charm of Dubai.

While I was driving the street of Dubai from its airport I witnessed its amazing roads, construction were going everywhere and its all around development could be witnessed from its billboards that announced its victory over international market. The emirate have recently got an opportunity to host World Expo 2020 which is the largest trade show on earth and after hearing such announcement my Dubai based brother and his wife said how all we are going to celebrate the occasion.

After such announcement Burj Khalifa presented itself with brilliant fireworks and following the same measures Baskin and Robins celebrated the occasion by giving free ice cream to the people. They partied all night celebrating the incident and that feeling gave me an opportunity to understand their ownership and their adapting policy.

One of the friend or rather say counsellor said how blissful is Dubai’s tolerant, its diversity in terms of culture, better job prospect and placement and standard of living describes its potential and prospective.

My children were happy as they got a chance to take a ride of fastest rollercoaster in Abu Dhabi’s Ferrari world. Before they were off the rim they were given protective goggle. Grabbing an opportunity with both hands they switched the lane with Formula One Car while speeding up with the speed that measured 150 km/hr in just 4.9 seconds. After the ride all they had to say was awesome theme park of Ferrari. Day’s later one of our friends invited us to drive down the Ferrari owners club to Hatta Mountains which was about 105 km away.

Responding to an invitation we drove 18 formations within an amazing highway and I learned that model numbers of many of the Ferraris are resonant by their number plates. One of my friends husband explained me that in terms of showing your wealth in Dubai your license plate should match with the numbers of your car.

I was shocked to understand the fact that lower the number of car plate the higher status of its owner and Dubai being one of the most developed and wealthy countries dominates the game of expensive number plates. Businessman Saeed Abdul Ghafour Khouri invested more than $ 14.2 million to buy a license plate bearing a number 1. Amazing facts but the vanity plates does compliments your business as their value is appreciated by an estimated 20% annually.

My journey to Hatta Mountains gave me an opportunity to witness the natural terrain of Dubai. Camels were grazing within the arid zone and bare mountains reflected its beauty from the distance. Although the entire surrounding are their own but still they did not forced themselves to take pictures of them. While talking with them I understood Dubai is dominated by conservative Islamic thoughts and conflicted and confronting regions but still one must look to appreciate its call of providing freedom to expose their wealth.

In Lush Ville on Jumeirah beach my friend house we saw a car show at their doorstep all the vintage and customised car were being remote controlled by a young driver and those drift were just awesome. Drifting became hobby after the incident of Red Bull Car Park Drift finals which was held in Dubai my friend said.

After the collision of 2009 Dubai is not only trying to show its domination over oil and real estate but rather they are trying to develop better services in tourism industry. An incident of such initiative is Burj Khalifa where you will witness premium residential areas, office, retail and hotel space.
New free trade zones like Jebel Ali port are offering cheap business license to foreign owned businesses. Dubai at present is home to more than 20000 international companies.

Affluence and brilliant job opportunities have negative side too as many of the teenager are in Dubai are victim of unstable life and when they say goodbye to their friends it ushers an doubt whether they would see him again or not said by Dubai based counsellor. It was on February when Kerala teen in Sharjah walked away in morning to give his exam but eventually committed suicide. Family problems and greater responsibility have asked the youth to end the journey of their life and after January UAE have witnessed three suicide case of teenager.

While watching my niece playing football I agreed with her words but for others quality of life and its better infrastructure, standard of living, zero taxation and entertaining environment have really made people unconscious about other consequences.

Late one night one of my friends walked me in to experienced other side of Dubai and it was its dance bar where girls from different region comes here in 90 days visas to earn some for them and most unfortunate part if they don’t get enough they are forced into prostitution. My expat said unlike in India tipping here illegal so patrons buys tiaras and present it to them.

That’s not all walking down the site of Marina I recalled 98.8% of Dubai’s water desalinated at a huge cost still the imperials of the emirates loves investing in water parks, private pools, gardens and fountains.

Then again I remember the plans UAE-based Kleindienst Group’s who are planning to invest $ 850 million in development of the Heart of Europe. They have planned to install 1.6 km long climate control which would enable the rain and snow to fall artificially on the tumbling environment of Dubai.

As my plane took off from the side of Dubai I started wondering whether the boom of Dubai is just a bubble or will it change the history of the world but one thing for sure if they continue to host programme like Expo 2020 and sustained their practice than they could well make oil-rich West-Asia the centre of the world.
