Hamta to Open for Tourist after Winter Carnival in January 2014



MANALI: Known for its astounding tourism attractions and appealing natural beauty, Hamta a picturesque destination in Kullu Valley would soon open up for tourists during the season months. For this efforts are been made from the entire department like officials from tourism
, civil aviation administration, forest department and local stakeholders for the improvement of the valley for a better tourism facilities and services. 
The team is led by Manali Sub Divisional Magistrate Vinay Dhiman and visited the picturesque Hamta to check whether the area is still efficient enough to provide the much need break for tourists, who are expected to break during the season month. It is expected the place would be inauguration by the Chief Minister during the wonderful and the gleaming winter carnival in January 2014. This is another feature that would add more beauty to the state tourism and help in the grown of Himachal Tourism.
Hamta is newly opened spot for tourism activities and before it is opened for tourist, the department is looking every angle to ensure that the tourists are safe and enjoy while here. The main problem and the challenge is that of the safety of tourists and the tourism activity in Hamta and more of all the challenge for safe conduct and road from Manali to Hamta. There are around 40 sharp bends and large gradients at some points. After looking at all the safety measures, Hamta would be promoted as an eco-friendly tourism destination.
For all these procedures, sub divisional committee would be formed, to prepare detailed report on this. After doing all the research work and analyzing the location the committee will submit the report to ADHPL authority for the approval. We looked all the safety measures, security and the environment conservation. We will also look at the conservation project and for this the number of tourists would be restricted to conserve natural resources.”
We will also request the ADHPL authority to co-operate, so that Hamta would be promoted as the next destination as a new eco-friendly tourist spot. Hamta is quite interesting place and the scenic location is known for its exotic beauty and also offer ski-slopes, religious sites, old trekking and to enjoy the view of the wildlife.
