Safari India Award Being Awarded To Goa Tourism for Its Best State of Beaches and Culture Tourism


In this year, the tourism of Goa has received the Safari India National Tourism Award for Best State for Beach and Culture Tourism. The award was received by Valsala Vijayan, Deputy Resident Commissioner of Goa.
As of the records, this award ceremony was recently conducted in New Delhi.

Dilip Parulekar, Minister for Tourism, Woman & Child Development, Government of Goa, said, “It is a moment of immense satisfaction that the state of Goa has been awarded for its scenic beaches and rich culture, on top of that, to receive the recognition from the editorial board of an established publication makes our determination stronger to turn Goa into a most popular destination among all tourists, throughout the whole year.
The tourism department is working very hard in making its beaches cleaner, safer, more attractive and more secure in order to increase the promotion of its coastline. All the hard work by the tourism department is the bigger part of the plan in making Goa the most yearned out place throughout the year.

 Apart of establishing facilities for more fun, Goa Tourism has taken steps to make sure that beaches are safer to be visited. In order to exhibit its culture, Goa Tourism has also encouraged the local cultural festivals like Shigmo, Bonderam, and San Joao.
Recently, the Government of Goa has sanctioned a plan to enhance the infrastructure in some of the most popular beaches among the tourists, such as Baga and Calangute. 

The scheme has already been initiated in April and the project is will probably be concluded within 180 working days, leaving the monsoon season. The chief agenda of this project is to enhance the beauty and improve the infrastructure near the famous Baga beach in North Goa. The development involves superior parking facilities, a viewing tower, and seaside pathways from Baga to the adjacent Calangute beach, construction of an approach road from Baga to Arpora Bridge, seating facilities and decorating the areas with gardens.
