In tourism is
fast picking up development in tourism sector in order to provide excellent
services to the tourists who visit India as well as for national tourists,
visiting places of interest in the country. This time, Dr K Chiranjeevi,
Minister of State with Independent charge for Tourism, Government of India has
sanctioned Central Finance Assistance (CFA) of Rs 25.04 crore for ongoing
tourism mega circuit projects at Tirupati and Kadapa districts of Andhra
Pradesh (AP).
The fund
sanctioned will be used for the development of Tirupati, Kadapa and various
temples in Chittor district. The tourism minister has sanctioned Rs 1,395.75
and Rs 1,107.87 lakh for Tirupati and Kadapa respectively as per a PIB release.
The funds will also be utilized for the development of many other tourism
facilities at temples in Chittor district like like Sri Kalyana Venkateshwara
Swamy Temple, Sri Vedanaryana Swamy Temple, Srivari mettu, Chandragiri fort,
Sri Kalahasteeshwara Temple and Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Temple. The funds will
be utilized to construct tourist information centres, tourist arrival centres,
mini cultural auditoriums, children parks and renovations of Dwaja Stambham at
various temples.
Kadapa has 21
temples and many other historical features and so it was selected as a mega
circuit destination and the temples that exist here are since the Vijayanagara
Empire. The 21 temples and the forts are covered under the project in Kadapa
district that include Gandikota Fort, Vaidhyanatha Swami Temple, Saumya Natha
Temple, Kodandarama Temple, Athirala Parasurma Temple. These temples are of
great importance as they have immense antiquity and heritage importance. Apart
from the development of temples and forts, other facilities like proper
drinking water facilities, landscaping and park development, public toilets and
tourist information centres at various locations shall also be taken into the
development project.
Development of
the tourism products and the tourism destination is the work of the respective
state government and Union Territory Administration. In times Ministry of
Tourism (MoT) provides CFA (Central Finance Assistance with initiative research
and consultation with the state government and tourism department. The
financial support also subject to the availability of the funds and the
inter-se-priority and

promotion of the various tourism destinations and products is primarily the
responsibility of the submission to the scheme guidelines.
