The tourism sector of Kerala need a strong
base in environmental sustainability, economic growth and socio cultural
conversation, the participants in confernce had same openion about the need of
high level research in the field. Kerala
state already achieved the sustainable tourism dvelopment in a definite shape
and so the state is the ideal place for
such a set up for academic research.
The formation of tourism clubs in colleges
and schools are another conclusion in conference, and called for inclusion of
responsible tourism in acdemic carriculam or as extra carricular activity in
tourism clubs. The RT conference here held by Kerala Institute for Tourism and
Travel Studies(KITTS), agreed to add a certified programme in RT for students.
