Kerala Tourism Mart Scheduled from September 18th to 20th, 2014




Kerala organizes several tourism events, but among all KTM is the most significant one, which aims to bring buyers and sellers of tourism industry on one single platform.
Kerala Travel Mart or KTM the mega event is scheduled to be organized from September 18 to 20, 2014 at Samudrika Convention Centre, Cochin Port Trust in Kochi, Kerala.
This event is organized by Kerala tourism department with the partner Kerala Travel Mart Society, which helps to bring the tourism products and the service provider on a single platform. 

The mega event is in fact one of the largest events of the tourism industry of Kerala, where a large number of buyers and sellers as well as media comes together for meetings and interactions.   

At this mega event, which is growing every year and sees a positive response will be attended by tour operators, home stays, houseboats, cultural art centers, Ayurveda resorts and they will showcase their product and services at the event.   

The event has always aimed at promoting Kerala as safest and significant travel destination in the world and in order to make sure to reach out to the world, this time it aims to reach out new markets. This time, the event will reach out to buyers from any other countries like Austria, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Poland, South Africa, Sweden, Norway and USA.

 This time the event is going to focus on the quality services and more of all, it will highlight on innovative tourism products like Village life experience, cultural tours and destination wedding themes. It will also aim to promote Kerala as a wedding destination. 

Looking at the positive response from the entrepreneurs and more of all the service providers, this time too KTM expects for a huge tour out of MICE Operators, wellness, global wedding planners and tour and travel service provides. 

KTM will aim to project Kerala as a significant weddings destination and honeymoon destination along with conferences and exhibitions. These are the important segment of the state tourism and the emerging segments are also viewed seriously to increase the market sales by Rs. 5,000 crore. 

KTM over the last 13 years has received positive response and from its first mart, it has successfully attracted 1,000 international buyers and business partners from various sections of the tourism industry of Kerala.
