Kerala Tourism Invest for to Promote Tourism of the State


Kerala tourism is trying several features to promote tourism. The tourism department is planning to invest rs 190 crore this fiscal as well as investing 100 crore on infrastructure development and campaigning to boost tourism sector, which is   expected to fetch a revenue of 23,000 crore.

Kerala is a renowned tourism state and is world renowned for its tourism features.
In the year 2012 it witnessed 7.94 lakhs tourists compared to 7.33 lakhs in the year 2011. With this the revenue of the state tourism increased by 8 percent from rs 19037 crore in 2011 to 21125 crore in 2012, which also include the forex earning of rs 4.548 crore.

To promote the tourism sector, a new campaign has been introduce to promote backwater tourism, and the tourism department are giving opportunity to the private sector under a new branding campaign “Your Moment is waiting”. S Harikishore, Director, told reporters here on Tuesday.

The luxury six seater sea place is to be introduced shortly, which would charge Rs 5000 per passenger, for the 30 minutes ride on the backwater. This is a unique experience and more of all a new initiative which is sure to add more benefits to the tourism sectors of the state Kerala.
