The government of Kerala has taken various measures to increase the standard of living of the state. Undoubtedly most of them have worked out. A step further has been taken to provide better transportation facility so as to ease travelling by the city dwellers as well as thousands of tourists
According to Divisional Railway Manager, Sunil Bajpai, the plan to
decrease the running time of major long distance running trains would be
possible mainly by cutting down the number of stops of the train. It would be
very inconvenient to shorten the time by increasing the speed of the trains
which are already running at the peak speed of 100km/hr in many sectors of the
state. He has firm belief that this step would certainly relief the tourist and
long distance commuters.
