Kerala Food Championship to Promote Kerala Tourism



Since the culinary of Kerala is renowned all over the world and that has led the tourism sector to organise International competition to promote the state tourism and to display the potential of Kerala cuisine.

The Great Kerala Food Championship is what they have named the competition and owing to its importance organiser have made the championship go international as the local food is getting reverence from all over the world.

A P Anil Kumar, Minister of tourism while speaking with the source said the local cuisine is renowned for its healthy preparation and for its exclusive flavour and to shift the bar into next level the competition has made its way.

To register participant would require applying online and while following the procedure they would ask to write article related with the cuisine of Kerala. Participant must make sure that they should submit their post in Kerala tourism Blog by using ID and Password given during the time of registration.

S Harikishore, Director, department of tourism said the culinary of the state reflects the cultural influence and through this competition we would look forward to experiment with the different ingredients and species which in turn would make the flavour different and interesting.

Any interested candidates can apply from any part of the world by using Web Portal www.Keralatourism.org/foodchampionship to register. However they should remember to login be the end of March 15, 2014.
Participant must above 18 and they would require paying no entry fee to participate on the competition. Contestants are encouraged to send only one entry at a time. However se/she can send more than one entry but they should remember to send it using same ID. No applicant would be allowed to register twice.

Applicant can send up to 5 entries at once by using same Id but they must remember to register in English where they would be asked to send their articles and the articles would be around 200 to 600 words.

To reward the effort tourism department have lined up a series of prizes and the winner would get 3 night stay in Kerala hotel and free air fare winner could collect their reward from any point of India.
